MDLEF hosts Annual Muslim Civil Rights Law Conference
Another TEC Law client, The Muslim Legal Defense and Education Fund, Inc., recently held its 2nd Annual conference, Walking the Straight Path, on Friday, June 18 through Sunday, June 20, 2004, at Howard University's School of Law in Washington, DC. Kick-Off events included a Jum'aah and Reception on Capitol Hill. Conference topic highlights included Islamic Law v. U.S. Law: A Guide for Muslim Lawyers & Students; Religious Discrimination at Work and in School; Muslims Jailed in Guantanamo Bay; and the Paintball 11 Case.
