RONDA R. ROBINSON
Ronda Robinson, TEC Law Group's Assistant Managing Principal, has been active in the entertainment and media industries for the past twenty five years. In 1980, she joined entertainment trade publication BRE as a columnist covering broadcast industry issues. She eventually served as Associate Editor of that publication. Since 1989, Robinson has maintained a private law practice servicing music and media industry clientele nationwide. With a concentration in music industry transactional matters, she has represented a range of entertainment companies and creative professionals. In addition to representation involving broadcast property acquisitions, Robinson negotiates on behalf of major market radio executives in employment agreements.

Ms. Robinson has also served as Associate Director of the Minority Media and Telecommunications Council (MMTC), a legal and advocacy service organization focusing on minority ownership and employment opportunities in the broadcast and telecommunications industries. She is a 2002 graduate of the National Association of Broadcaster's Broadcast Leadership Training program, an MBA type course designed for industry executives interested in media property ownership opportunities.

A second-generation lawyer, Robinson continues a family tradition of firsts. Through her work with MMTC, Robinson serves as the first full-service African-American media broker in the country. Robinson also shares a law practice in Miami, Fl. with her father David Robinson, II, - the first African-American law graduate from Duke University.

From 1992 to 1993, Ms. Robinson served as General Counsel to the Miami-based international television company Caribbean Satellite Network. She also serves as FCC legal counsel and former Board of Director for New Birth Broadcasting Corporation in Miami, FL. Robinson has also served as an Adjunct Professor, teaching communications law at her college alma mater Howard University.

Besides appearing as a guest legal columnist in BRE Magazine, Robinson
serves as Contributing Editor of the BESLA Bulletin. She is a frequent moderator, panelist and published author on communications and entertainment law topics.
