Fred W. Woods, Jr. specializes in technology,Internet and cyberspace law, intellectual
property litigation, international business transactions
and corporate law. Mr. Woods is also a seasoned trial
lawyer and has extensive courtroom experience handling
complex civil trials, intellectual property disputes,
and other high-stake cases.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr.Woods served as a legislative intern and Congressional Black Caucus Fellow to Congressman James Clyburn (D-SC) in the
United States House of Representatives. Subsequently,
Mr. Woods was appointed as a law clerk to the Honorable
Circuit Court Judge Donald Beatty before joining the
law firm of Lowery, Thompson King. In May, 1997,
Mr. Woods co-founded the law firm of Konohia Woods and later, Woods Associates, with primary
offices located in Greenville, South Carolina and
Atlanta, Georgia.
In the technology arena Mr. Woods has drafted affiliation
agreements, privacy statements for Internet portals,
joint licensing agreements, executive compensation
agreements, and Internet services and product agreements.
He has coordinated network services deals for ISP's
and ASP's, collocation agreements for telecommunications
companies, written strategic marketing alliance agreements
between pure play Internet companies and traditional
financial institutions and helped orchestrate deals
between OEM's and suppliers in the automotive and
airline industries.
