As Mr. Session's senior associate, Douglas M. Stringer
brings a wealth of research and organizational experience.
Beginning at the Session Law Firm in 1998 as Executive
Assistant and working throughout law school, Mr. Stringer
has an extensive background in Public Affairs and
Political Development, and provides skillful support
in the areas of Government Relations, Business Formation,
and Small and Minority Business Development. Before
working at the Session Law Firm, he
was Administrative Assistant in the American Association
of Retired Person's Office of Volunteer Coordination
in Washington, DC. Mr. Stringer also served as District
Office Intern in the Louisville, KY District Office
of former United States Representative Mike Ward,
where he was promoted to Staff Assistant/Constituent
service conducting policy analysis and research for
district case work. Mr. Stringer also worked in local
government as Administrative/Associate Legislative
Assistant to Twelfth Ward Alderman Paul Bather of
the City of Louisville, KY, and with labor union projects
such as the AFL-CIO's Frontlash.
Besides serving on the 1996 White House Presidential
Advance Team, Mr. Stringer has participated in municipal
and state political campaigns nationwide, including
those of Shirley Franklin for Mayor (Atlanta, Georgia,
2001), Kevin Chavous for Mayor (District of Columbia,
1999), Al Wynn for Congress (4th -Maryland, 1998),
Mike Ward for Congress (3rd -Kentucky, 1996), and
Paul Patton for Governor (Commonwealth of Kentucky,
1995).
